Teak root stools are among the most versatile items we produce. They work as seating, as side tables, and as sculptural objects in their own right. Because they are compact and solid, they are also efficient to ship and easy to stock.
Types of Root Seating
We produce three broad families of teak root seating. Root block stools are cut from dense sections and give a chunky, architectural look. Sphere and ball stools are shaped into rounded forms that read as sculpture as much as furniture. Root benches extend the same language into longer seating for halls and dining areas.
- Root block stools: solid, architectural, stackable in a retail context
- Sphere and ball stools: rounded, sculptural, strong visual appeal
- Root benches: longer seating for halls, dining and hospitality
- Driftwood and hollow-form stools: maximum organic character
Retail and Hospitality Demand
Stools sell well in design-led retail because they are affordable, easy to place and photograph clearly. In hospitality projects they are used as occasional seating, side tables and decorative features in lobbies and restaurants.

Durability
Teak is a dense, naturally durable timber. Once dried and finished, root stools carry weight well and stand up to daily use. We check stability and finish on every unit before packing.

Frequently Asked Questions
What families of root seating do you produce?
Three broad families: root block stools cut from dense sections, sphere and ball stools shaped into rounded forms, and root benches for longer seating.
Are the stools heavy?
Root stools are solid and therefore substantial, which is part of their stability. We can advise an average weight per model for freight planning.
Can stools be used outdoors?
Teak root is naturally moisture resistant and suits covered outdoor use; for fully exposed settings we recommend confirming a finish and care routine.
Can you produce consistent sizes?
Yes. Heights and seat diameters can be standardised within agreed tolerances, so a retail range stays coherent.

Packing, loading and shipping

Container loading in Jepara — packed, checked against the packing list and staged before dispatch.
Every order is packed with protective wrapping, stacked to a load plan and staged before it leaves the factory. We list each piece so that what arrives matches what was ordered, and we can supply a container load plan for your customs broker.
Where does the container actually leave from? Everything is loaded in Jepara, on the north coast of Central Java, roughly two hours by road from the port of Semarang. Cartons are staged, checked against the packing list, then driven down to the quay and lifted onto the vessel. Semarang is the port we quote from, which is why FOB Semarang is the term most buyers work on.
Our office and factory stand at the same address on every document we issue: Jl. RA Rukmini KM.02 Pekalongan RT.02/V, Tahunan, Jepara 59428, Central Java, Indonesia.
