Our Company
Who you are buying from
You are buying directly from the manufacturer, not from a broker or a trading desk. The company behind this site is CV. Nusantara Sourcing Agent, which has operated from Jepara, Central Java, Indonesia since 2016, trading under the brand Teak Root Furniture. Our factory and office sit at the same address on every document we issue: Jl. RA Rukmini KM.02 Pekalongan RT.02/V, Tahunan, Jepara 59428. Since we started, we have shipped more than 300 containers of teak root furniture to buyers in Europe, North America and the Gulf.
That direct relationship matters. The people who answer your email are the people who control the root supply, the drying, the carving and the loading, so there is no intermediary margin and no second-hand information between your specification and the workshop floor.

Who you will work with
Container orders are not run by a call centre. Two people carry your order from first enquiry to loaded container.
Mr. August Praymunor — Overseas Marketing Director (LinkedIn). August is your first and main point of contact. He handles quotations, container planning, the export document set and the day-to-day correspondence on pricing, payment and shipping terms. If you are comparing suppliers or need a formal offer to take to your own management, this is the person who builds it. His record is the 300+ containers shipped since 2016, and he is the one who replies to export@teakrootfurniture.com.
Mr. Ahmad Zairin — Expert Production & Quality Director (LinkedIn). Ahmad runs the workshop and owns quality. He manages root sourcing and drying, carving and assembly, finishing, and the quality control that happens before anything is packed or loaded. When a buyer asks for a custom size, a specific finish or an OEM run, the specification is signed off against what Ahmad can actually produce repeatably — not against what a catalogue photo suggests.
In practice you will speak to August about the commercial side and to Ahmad about anything technical: dimensions, finish samples, tolerances, packing for a particular market, or a change you want made to a repeat order.
What we do
We manufacture and export teak root furniture from Jepara, the carving town on the north coast of Central Java where most of Indonesia's teak root pieces are actually made. Teak root is recovered material: when a mature plantation teak is harvested for its trunk, the root mass is normally left in the ground. We buy that root, dry it, clean it and shape it into table tops, bases, stools, benches, consoles and decorative pieces. The material is dense, it holds up to humidity, and it takes oil or lacquer finishing well. Because every root is a different shape, no two pieces are identical, and the sizes quoted are ranges rather than fixed dimensions.
We source directly from our own workshop floor, so the root, the carving and the finishing sit under one roof, and the piece that leaves for the container is the piece that was inspected. We run full and mixed containers, which is how most new buyers start: a single 20ft container can combine dining tables, coffee tables, console tables, side tables, stools and benches in quantities that suit the buyer's market. Production capacity is 4 x 40'FCL per month, and orders move through a fixed sequence: specification, deposit, carving and finishing, quality control, packing, container loading.
Packing is built for sea freight, not for a shop floor. Every item is packed in single-face carton with wrapping and a stacking plan designed around the container volume, so pieces arrive in the condition they left in. Alongside the goods we prepare the export documents that keep a container moving — commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading, certificate of origin and fumigation or heat-treatment certification where the destination requires it. We ship on FOB Semarang and work with your nominated forwarder. For buyers who want their own name, sizes or finish, OEM and private-label production is available.
Why buyers inspect before they commit
In this category, photos never tell the whole story. Teak root is a natural, irregular material, so what matters to a serious importer is not a marketing image but the actual process: how the root is dried, how joints are reinforced, how stable a table base really is, and how a finished piece is packed for a sea voyage. That is why we invite buyers to come and look before they place an order.
Factory inspection at Jepara is welcome. You can walk the workshop, see the root stock, watch the finishing line and pick the pieces you want photographed for your own catalogue. Many importers arrange a visit on their first order and then order remotely once they know how we work. If you cannot travel, we run quality control on every batch before shipping: dimensions checked against the confirmed specification, finish checked against the approved sample, stability checked on tables, stools and benches, and the full load checked against the packing list at loading. Nothing sails until that check is signed off, so you can commit to a repeat container with confidence.
Frequently asked questions
Are you a factory or a trading company?
We are the manufacturer and exporter. CV. Nusantara Sourcing Agent owns the workshop and the address in Jepara, employs the production and quality staff, and handles the export. You deal with the factory that makes the goods, not a middleman.
What is your minimum order?
One 20ft container, and it can be mixed items. A mixed container lets a new importer test several products in one shipment without committing to a single SKU. Buyers who prove a range often move to 40ft containers, and our monthly capacity is four 40ft containers.
Can I combine different products in one container?
Yes. A mixed 20ft container is our standard way to start. A typical first order might combine dining tables, coffee tables, console tables, side tables, stools and benches. Because each piece has its own size, we build a load plan that uses the container volume efficiently, and we can propose a mix against your budget if you are unsure what fits.
Can I inspect the factory before ordering?
Yes, and we encourage it. Buyers are welcome to visit the workshop and office in Jepara. Quality control also runs before every shipment, so remote buyers still get a documented check against the approved specification, finish and packing list.
Start a quotation with your item list
We work from item lists, not general enquiries. Tell us what you want to import, in what quantities, for which market, and we will come back with a quotation within one business day. Send it to export@teakrootfurniture.com or WhatsApp +62 812 283 3040. You can also start on our Get a Quote page, see the range on the products page, read the terms on our wholesale page, or see how we work with furniture importers. If you are planning a visit to Jepara, mention it in your first message and we will arrange the schedule around your dates.
