Every teak root order leaves our workshop in Jepara packed, checked and documented. Here is exactly what happens between your confirmed deposit and the container leaving Semarang.
1Root selection & drying
Each root is chosen, cleaned and dried slowly. Drying is the slowest stage and the one that decides whether a piece stays stable in a dry, heated interior.
2Shaping & stabilising
Voids and soft pockets are stabilised, the base is levelled and the piece is shaped so the natural movement of the grain becomes the design.
3Sanding & finishing
Sandings inside curves and under the overhang, then the agreed finish — oil or lacquer — with the climate of the destination in mind.
4Quality check against your order
Each piece is checked against your item list: model, dimensions, top material and finish. Anything that does not match is held back before packing.
5Packing & load plan
Protective wrapping, stacking to a load plan and a packing list with quantities by model — a copy of which we can send to your customs broker.
6Loading & sailing from Semarang
The container is loaded in Jepara and driven roughly two hours to the port of Semarang, which is why our quotation is on FOB Semarang terms.

Ready to price your first container?
Send your item list and quantities and we will reply with what fits in a container, the FOB Semarang price and a realistic production timeline. A first order runs about 12 weeks in production, with a 50 percent deposit and the balance before shipment.
