Choosing a teak root furniture manufacturer in Indonesia is the single most important decision an importer makes in this category. The product is organic, so consistency depends entirely on the discipline of the factory you work with.
What to Look For in a Manufacturer
- A specific production location and a verifiable workshop
- Clear drying and finishing process
- Agreed tolerances on height, diameter and finish
- Export packing built for sea freight
- One contact who owns the order from production to loading
Jepara, in Central Java, is Indonesia's established centre of wood craftsmanship and where our production is based. Working with a manufacturer in Jepara means access to skilled carvers, established supply of root material, and a port network built for export.
Manufacturer or Trading Company?
Many suppliers you meet online are trading companies that outsource production. That is not necessarily a problem, but it adds a layer between you and the workshop, which matters when you need a change, a replacement or a quality decision. We produce and export directly, so questions reach the people making the furniture.
Questions Worth Asking
Ask for the production address, ask how drying is handled, ask what happens if a piece fails inspection, and ask who packs the container. The answers tell you more than any catalogue.

Frequently Asked Questions
What should I ask a prospective manufacturer?
Ask for the production address, how drying is handled, what happens if a piece fails inspection, and who packs the container. The answers reveal more than any catalogue.
Does it matter if a supplier is a trading company?
It can. A trading layer sits between you and the workshop, which slows changes, replacements and quality decisions. We produce and export directly.
Can I verify a factory remotely?
Yes. We provide photographs and video of production and packing, and buyers are welcome to visit by arrangement.
Is Jepara the right place to source from?
Jepara in Central Java is Indonesia's established woodworking centre, with skilled carvers, a steady supply of root material and a port network built for export.

Packing, loading and shipping

Container loading in Jepara — packed, checked against the packing list and staged before dispatch.
Every order is packed with protective wrapping, stacked to a load plan and staged before it leaves the factory. We list each piece so that what arrives matches what was ordered, and we can supply a container load plan for your customs broker.
Where does the container actually leave from? Everything is loaded in Jepara, on the north coast of Central Java, roughly two hours by road from the port of Semarang. Cartons are staged, checked against the packing list, then driven down to the quay and lifted onto the vessel. Semarang is the port we quote from, which is why FOB Semarang is the term most buyers work on.
Our office and factory stand at the same address on every document we issue: Jl. RA Rukmini KM.02 Pekalongan RT.02/V, Tahunan, Jepara 59428, Central Java, Indonesia.
