Importing furniture from Indonesia is straightforward when the process is clear. This guide covers teak root furniture export from the buyer's point of view: documentation, packing, freight and what to expect.
Documentation
Export shipments normally include a commercial invoice, packing list and bill of lading, plus any certificate your destination requires. We prepare the export documents and coordinate with your forwarder, so the paperwork matches what actually ships.
Packing for Sea Freight
Teak root furniture is solid and irregular. Packing focuses on protecting contact points and stopping movement inside the container. We inspect pieces before packing and load in a sequence that keeps the heaviest items stable.
For export detail, see the how to order page and our catalogue.
Freight Options
- Full container load (FCL) for larger orders
- Mixed loads combining families and sizes
- Buyer-nominated forwarder or ours
Choosing a Port and Schedule
Tell us your destination port, and we will confirm which Indonesian port and schedule suits your order. Transit times vary by route and carrier.

Working Directly With the Exporter
Buying directly from the exporter removes the trading layer, which shortens communication and gives you a single point of accountability from production to loading.

Packing, loading and shipping

Where does the container actually leave from? Everything is loaded in Jepara, on the north coast of Central Java, roughly two hours by road from the port of Semarang. Cartons are staged, checked against the packing list, then driven to the quay and lifted onto the vessel. Semarang is the port we quote from, which is why FOB Semarang is the term most buyers work on.
Our office and factory stand at the same address on every document we issue: Jl. RA Rukmini KM.02 Pekalongan RT.02/V, Tahunan, Jepara 59428, Central Java, Indonesia.
Export packing and loading — single-face carton, or per buyer requirement.
