The Maldives imports almost everything it builds with, and its resort sector is the engine of that demand. Each island property needs distinctive furniture for villas, restaurants and public areas, and natural materials suit the island aesthetic perfectly.
Why Teak Root Suits Buyers in the Maldives
Teak root furniture is sculptural, durable and handcrafted, and each piece is cut from the root system of the teak tree, so no two are alike. For buyers in the Maldives, that individuality supports premium pricing and gives a showroom or property a look that standard contract furniture cannot reproduce.
- Distinctive, individual pieces rather than mass-produced items
- Dense, durable material suitable for daily commercial use
- Natural tones that work in contemporary and classic interiors
- Suitable for hotels, residences, restaurants and lounges
Product Range for Malé and the resort atolls
Dining tables and table bases, coffee tables with glass tops, consoles, stools, benches and bar or bistro sets are all supplied. Buyers often start with accent and coffee tables, then expand into dining and bar furniture as their range develops.
For resort projects, browse the full teak root collection and follow the ordering steps for a first container.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do you ship furniture to the Maldives?
Orders leave Indonesia by sea in containers and clear through Malé before moving to the resort atolls. We prepare export packing and documentation and coordinate with your forwarder on the best port and sailing for your volume.
Can you repeat one design across several villas?
Yes. We standardise heights and top sizes so a specification can be repeated across many rooms, while each root base stays individually shaped. Contract orders are quoted as coordinated schemes.
Will teak root hold up to salt air and humidity?
Teak is naturally moisture resistant and performs well in tropical conditions. For island properties we recommend a sealed exterior finish and stainless or galvanised fittings on any hardware.
What is the smallest order for a Maldivian resort project?
Our minimum is one 20-foot container, mixed across products and sizes, so a first delivery can cover villas, restaurants and public areas together.

Packing, loading and shipping

Where does the container actually leave from? Everything is loaded in Jepara, on the north coast of Central Java, roughly two hours by road from the port of Semarang. Cartons are staged, checked against the packing list, then driven to the quay and lifted onto the vessel. Semarang is the port we quote from, which is why FOB Semarang is the term most buyers work on.
Our office and factory stand at the same address on every document we issue: Jl. RA Rukmini KM.02 Pekalongan RT.02/V, Tahunan, Jepara 59428, Central Java, Indonesia.
Export packing and loading — single-face carton, or per buyer requirement.
