Teak Root Coffee Table — Glass Top, FOB $90–155

Short answer: teak root coffee tables run from USD 90 to 138 FOB Semarang for bases in 80 to 140 cm sizes, with 10 mm tempered glass tops added per table. MOQ is one 20ft container, mixed; a 20ft holds about 27 glass-top tables. Lead time is about 12 weeks on a first order.

Coffee tables are where most buyers meet this material for the first time. A dining table is a decision about a room; a coffee table is a decision about a photograph — it sits in the middle of the shot, it is touched every day, and it has to work with a sofa that was chosen before you existed. That is why the coffee table is the most searched piece in the whole teak root category, and why we keep thirty models in production rather than three.

Why the glass top is not a detail

A root surface is not flat, and it was never meant to be. Books, trays and glasses need a plane; the root needs to stay visible. Tempered glass solves both at once: it creates the flat working surface and turns the base into something you look at rather than something you work around.

We supply 10 mm tempered glass, cut to the shape of the root top, packed in a carton inside a wooden crate so that it travels separately from the base and arrives unmarked. Many buyers order bases only and have glass cut locally — it lowers shipping volume and cost, and we will send the template measurements.

Twelve coffee table models, with volume and FOB

These are finished sizes in centimetres and packed volume in CBM. The Per 20’ column is 28 CBM divided by the piece volume — a planning figure, not a promise, because glass and crating change the final count.

FOB Semarang, glass top included. Other models and sizes on request; a 20-foot container holds about 27 mixed glass-top coffee tables.

What decides the price of a coffee table

Three things, in this order: the diameter of the root, the amount of sanding and filling the surface needs, and the finish. An 80 cm root is common and quick to finish; a 120 cm root with an even top and no visible filler is rare, and it is priced accordingly. White-wash and dark finishes add a step but not a separate price band.

This is also why a buyer should never compare two quotations on price alone. Ask what diameter, what glass, what packing and what inspection the figure includes — the difference between two “USD 95” coffee tables is usually one of those four.

How they ship

Pieces are wrapped, labelled by item code, and loaded against a CBM plan you receive before booking. Glass travels in its own crate inside the container. The packing and shipping process shows how a mixed load is built. Terms are FOB Semarang, 50% deposit and the balance before shipment, about 12 weeks on a first order.

Frequently asked questions

Do the coffee tables include the glass top?

Tables can be supplied with or without glass. Many buyers order bases only and have glass cut locally, which lowers shipping volume and cost; we also quote complete tables with 10 mm tempered glass.

What glass thickness do you use?

10 mm tempered glass, cut to the shape of the root top, packed in a carton inside a wooden crate so it travels separately from the base and arrives unmarked.

How many fit in a 20-foot container?

About 27 mixed glass-top coffee tables. The table above shows the figure per model; mixed loads move it either way.

What is the price range?

Bases run from USD 90 to USD 138 FOB Semarang across 80 to 140 cm sizes; glass tops are added per table size.

Can I choose the glass shape?

Yes. Round, oval and rectangular templates are all possible; we cut to the base shape you approve.

Send the diameters and quantities you are considering and we will return FOB per model, CBM, and a suggested mixed load. If your glass is cut locally, tell us and we will send the template measurements with the quotation.
